Each visit is carefully curated based upon your symptoms, and how your body works.

Everything I do falls into three main categories, known as "The Three R's."

Reset, Reinforce, Retrain.

Reset

Manual input to alleviate symptoms and remedy a root cause.

This is your immediate or "rescue inhaler" treatment.

Joint Mobilization

Low to moderate grade manual input to free up a "stuck" joint.

Scraping

Utilizing a metal or buffalo horn tool to better alleviate muscular and tendinous pain.

Cupping

Pulling motion on the skin and musculature with a plastic suction tool. This alleviates soft tissue tension, and increases blood flow to the area to improve healing.

TENS/E-Stim

Utilizing low-grade electrical input to override the sensation of pain. This provides short-term relief from high pain levels.

Soft Tissue Mobilization

Manual input to break up "knots", scar tissue, and other muscular and tendinous pain.

Manual Traction

Manual input or "pulling" to briefly increase joint space, as well as alleviate joint capsule or soft tissue discomfort.

Kinesiotaping

Highly elastic, long-lasting tape. Its adhesive is created in a "whorl" pattern, similar to a finger print. This is perceived as deep pressure, which can inhibit pain or reinforce a desired movement pattern.

Epley/BPPV Reduction

Highly specific movements of the head in order to reposition tiny fragments of the inner ear which can disrupt the vestibular system and cause dizziness/nausea.

Joint Manipulation

Rapid mobilization of a joint. Commonly known as "popping."

PNF Mobilization

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, PNF, is special category of mobilization. This inhibits your neuromuscular stretch response, allows greater motion, and improves control in the newly-increased range of motion.

Leukotaping

Inelastic and highly adhesive tape. This is commonly utilized as a long-lasting mobilization.

Dry Needling

The use of thin needles (similar to acupuncture) to release specific pain points in muscles & tendons. Also improves reinforcement and retraining by increasing proprioception to the area.

PNF Patterns

A special category of human motion. These encompass multiple muscle groups through large ranges to improve control in new ranges after a reset.

Active/Active Assisted Motion

Utilizing assistance, proprioception, and active range to move through a new range of motion.

Isometric & Eccentric Contraction

Highly specific muscular contractions.

These ensure that improvements from our reset are long-lasting

Specific Muscular Recruitment

Utilizing resistance and proprioceptive input to train a specific muscle group or motion.

Reinforce

A targeted movement in order to maintain the benefits of the reset.

Reinforcement provides long-lasting relief, and the empowerment of having tools at home to mitigate symptoms.

Retrain

Developing a new and appropriate motor pattern in order to prevent the root cause from returning.

When the root cause is eliminated, pain does not return.

Motor Programming

The core aspect of my practice. Teaching you how to move, much like how a toddler learns to walk. In order to move correctly in standing, we master supine, quadruped, and kneeling first.

Vestibular Retraining

Specific movements and exercises with the goal of adaptation of the vestibular system

On-Sites

I travel to analyze what you do, where do you it. From horseback riding, to flying, to figure skating, and more. I analyze and retrain how you move where it matters.

High Intensity Gait Training

The current gold standard in outpatient stroke rehabilitation. Exercising at a high intensity with specific focus on individual components of gait. This utilizes "neuroplasticity", which is your brain's ability to "rewire" itself in order to complete a task.

Proprioceptive Retraining

Specific exercises with increased assistance and input. These help your neuromuscular system to better equate body position and movements.

Telehealth

At home or on-the-go. I'm there when you need me.

Activity Simulation

Recreating what you do. Completed with a critical eye on muscle recruitment, motor patterns, and all specific principles we've worked on.

Return to Sport Testing

Return to sports without the anxiety of re-injury. I administer the movement tests that all major  professional and collegiate sports teams utilize. These provide quantitative data on your body's ability to complete the tasks necessary to return to sport.

Athletic Consulting

Injury prevention begins in how your team warms up, cools down, and prepares in the offseason. I work with teams to optimize their training to prevent injury, and maximize athleticism.

Post-Pitching Recovery

Pitching is incredibly demanding on the entire body. I work with pitchers throughout their season to ensure they recover correctly after each game pitched.

Sport Performance & Injury Prevention

I utilize a high-level battery of tests to assess how your body moves. Then, I work to correct asymmetries and motor control deficits so you perform at your best.
